What We Do
Pretty much anything according to St. Francis — making sure the spirit of prayer is not extinguished.
To this end, the members of the Assumption Province are doing ministry (working) in parishes, schools, hospital and sisters chaplaincies, construction, web designer, and soup kitchens. Historically they have ventured into many exciting areas of work.
It is an historical characteristic of the Franciscan Order that the friars are with the people. This presence can occur on many levels. It is limited only by the imagination of the friar and the current administration.
Numbers on the States indicate the number of friars of the Assumption Province living in that State.
Additionally, there are two friars living in Rome, Italy, and one in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Philippines.
These statistics are accurate as of January 18, 2019.
