In its beginnings, the Assumption Province stressed preaching parish missions. It was belived this work was an authentic response to St. Francis desire to preach the need for repentance and conversion. The province boasted a large, qualified, influential and very dedicated "mission band."

As the Province relinquished its schools, friars foudn themsleves seeking ministerial outlets for their faith. This co-incided with many bishops needing help to staff thier parishes. As a result, the Assumption Province becamse more involved in the parochial setting. Today, we are involved in the following parishes.

Many friars, while not working full-time in a parish, provide weekend help to the faith communities in which they live.
